Start with the candle type

If you specifically want LED candles, state that request and discuss quantity, sizes and appearance. A photograph may show a different light colour from the available pieces. The hotel must approve the setup, and any real flame requires explicit attention to its rules; “assorted candles” is not permission for flame use.

Use focused light rather than a crowded path

Place light around the floral focal point or on an approved table rather than across a walking route. Think beyond the reveal: access to doors, switches and the bathroom should remain easy. Floor-level pieces need particular attention so their placement does not make the room awkward to use.

Balance the existing lamps

Electronic candles provide a visual effect, not a guaranteed substitute for room lighting. Plan them alongside bedside lamps or other existing light. For photographs, consider the brightness difference between windows and the bed. Choose timing and angles without assuming every room will resemble a reference image.

Plan the removal

Ask whether decorative pieces are collected after the occasion and who coordinates their return. Do not assume candles or vases become the customer’s property unless agreed. Clarifying ownership and collection arrangements before booking avoids an unnecessary discussion once the celebration has finished.

A simple lighting plan to discuss

Start with the room lamp that will remain on during the reveal, then discuss electronic candles around the flower arrangement or on a side surface. Ask for a description or check of the expected effect rather than automatically switching every other light off. If you plan personal photographs, choose a position where faces remain visible. Candle-style light alone should not be assumed to reproduce a promotional image.
